If you’ve seen Blackjack Billy at the Gulf Coast Jam in Panama City Beach or the Toadlick Music Festival in Dothan, then you know the party gets turns up to the max when the country rock band takes the stage. Blackjack Billy will cap off River Jam around 9:30 p.m.

The Nashville-based group celebrates women, liquor and fun with songs it calls “Redneck Rock.” Crowd favorites include “The Booze Cruise,” “Blood, Sweat and Beer,” “Slow Dancin’ Under the Sheets” and “Get Some.” Critics have compared the band’s music and performance style to Florida Georgia Line and Jason Aldean. Blackjack Billy independently released its first single, “The Booze Cruise,” in March 2013 and it became a hit on Sirus XM Satellite Radio’s The Highway Channel. So far, it has sold more than 250,000 digital downloads and reached platinum sales status in Canada. The song’s video has received more than 2.2 million views on YouTube. That’s the result of constant touring and lots of social media buzz because the record was never released by a major label.

The band consists of Rob Blackledge (vocals and guitar), Noll Billings (vocals), Jeff Coplan (electric guitar) and Brad Cummings (drums). Blackledge and Coplan were successful songwriters before forming Blackjack Billy. Blackledge co-wrote Love and Theft’s first Top 10 hit, “Runaway,” and Coplan co-wrote Love and Theft’s No. 1 hit, “Angel Eyes.” Noll was a solo performer before joining the band, and Cummings previously played drums for Randy Houser and Bobby Bare Jr.
